The result of your prostate biopsy may turn out to be positive, but you may not have prostate cancer at all. Doctors at Johns Hopkins University of Medicine, claim that rectal tissue collected along with the prostate specimen, can be misdiagnosed as prostate cancer. The finding was reported in the July 2006 issue of the American Journal of Surgical Pathology.
The researchers emphasized that recognition of this fact is important in preventing misdiagnosis of . May be it's time to invent a better mouse trap.
